On the night of September 15, domestic gas exploded in a multi-story apartment building in Angarsk, said the governor of Russia's Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev. "According to preliminary information, three people were injured, two were hospitalized. On their own, 79 residents, including 12 children, went outside," Kobzev wrote in his Telegram channel. According to Angarsk Mayor Sergey Petrov, the explosion occurred in an apartment on the second floor. It was occupied by a person "with health peculiarities". The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of a person (part 2 of article 238 of the Criminal Code). The maximum punishment under this article is imprisonment for up to six years with a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles.
