Hrenin promised to show them "everything of interest."
Servicemen from the United States visited the Zapad-2025 joint military exercises between Russia and Belarus.
They were greeted by Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin. "We are very happy that you have responded to our invitation," he said. - Anything that interests you, we'll show you everything you want."
The exercise was visited, in particular, by the defense attaché at the U.S. Embassy, Lieutenant Colonel Brian Patrick Shoup.
Reuters calls the appearance of U.S. servicemen at the exercise sudden and calls it a sign of warming relations between the United States and Belarus. As BelTA reported, representatives of 23 states are present at the exercise on September 15. Three of them are from NATO countries (the U.S., Turkey and Hungary).
The joint strategic exercises of Russia and Belarus "Zapad-2025" are held from September 12 to 16.
