Britain Plans To Open The Country's Largest Drone Factory

The plant wants to open in the town of Swindon.
In 2026 in the town of Swindon, in the southwest of England, will open the largest in the UK factory for the production of drones. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense on Monday, September 15.
The factory will be owned by the British-Portuguese company Tekever, which already has several production lines in Britain. The new facility will produce StormShroud drones, which are already in use by the UK Royal Air Force.
The plant is expected to be operational in 2026, providing more than 1,000 highly skilled jobs for Britons.
Since 2022, the UK government has purchased about £270 million worth of drones from Tekever, some of which were earmarked for Ukraine.
