New information from the authorities in Poland.
A 21-year-old Ukrainian citizen and a 17-year-old Belarusian citizen launched a drone in the drone zone of the Belvedere government quarter in Warsaw on September 15. They were detected by the Polish State Protection Service (SOP), detained and handed over to the police.
The persons operating the drone were questioned on Monday night to Tuesday. The drone was neutralized. "The security service showed itself very well," assessed Poland's Deputy Interior Minister Macej Duszczyk, according to TVN.
"The drone was flying over areas it was not supposed to be over. It was shot down. The persons who were operating the drone were also detained. (...) These people were interrogated during the night. We will see what the results of these procedures will be," said Duszczyk. "For me, the very good news is that everything worked very quickly: the drone appeared and within literally a very short time it was neutralized and the people were detained. The state has worked again," he added.
He emphasized that the most important persons of the state live and reside in Belvedere and its immediate surroundings, so this place should be under special supervision.
