The Ukrainian commander revealed the details.
Russian troops are trying to break into Kupyansk by boats and rafts across the Oskol River, as the AFU blew up the gas pipe through which the occupants were climbing into the city.
This was reported by "Suspilny" commander of the 429th separate regiment of unmanned systems "Achilles" Yury Fedorenko.
"At the moment, the issue with the gas pipe by the Defense Forces has been resolved. It has been blown up. But will the enemy be able to restore it a second time.... Because it's not the first time we put it out of service," the commander said.
He said that due to the fact that the pipe is located in the temporarily occupied territory, the Ukrainian military can not dig it up.
"Because the enemy is constantly affecting by means of their artillery, by means of drones and so on. But we managed to damage it with firepower," Fedorenko added.
As a result, the enemy is now forced to increase movement across the Oskol River again according to previous scenarios - by boat and rafts.
The goal of the occupiers is to bypass Kupyansk along its northwestern outskirts and advance as far as possible in the city itself.
It was previously reported that the occupation of Kupyansk in Kharkiv region is a strategic goal of the Russians in the region and they partially manage to break into the city.
The enemy uses gas pipes to enter Kupyansk. This is how the Russians overcome the Oskol River.
