In Rostov, The Russian Military Burned Its Helicopter

There was a fire at the Rosguard base.

According to "VChK-OGPU", soldiers burned a helicopter with paratroopers and pyrotechnics on board while burning garbage.

One of the occupants, following the orders of fire safety officer Nikolai Novoselov, carried out the burning of garbage, but the fire spread to dry grass and then spread towards the helicopter. As a result, the helicopter burned down. The damage caused to the unit was estimated at 574 million rubles.

The material notes that the burning of garbage was carried out under the conditions of a ban on fire on the territory of the military base.

Novoselov was held responsible for the incident. The court fined him 350 thousand rubles, and also banned him from holding senior positions in the civil service for a year.
