Foreigners Dug An Underground Tunnel From Belarus To Poland

Polish border guards caught four foreigners who tried to illegally enter the country from Belarus through an underground tunnel. They were brought back, the border service of the neighboring country reports.

In the morning of September 19, employees of the Electronic Barrier Surveillance Center received a signal about an attempt to illegally cross the Belarusian-Polish border.

"Foreigners tried to illegally cross the border through an underground tunnel, which began on the Belarusian side near a forest edge. Having dug a tunnel under the fence, they hoped to remain undetected. The surveillance center immediately notified the patrols on the spot, which prevented the attempt of illegal border crossing by four foreigners," Polish border guards reported.

The offenders were returned back to Belarus.
