The platform's safety zone has been breached.
Poland's border guard reported that two Russian fighter jets made a low-flying overflight over the Petrobaltic drilling platform in the Baltic Sea.
"The security zone of the platform was violated. This was reported to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland and other services," it added.
The incident came to light the same day that three Russian MIG-31 fighter jets entered Estonian airspace over the Gulf of Finland without authorization and remained there for a total of 12 minutes. NATO said it had intercepted the planes.
Afterward, the Estonian Foreign Ministry summoned Russia's Charge d'Affaires and protested.
