Trump Invited Erdogan To The White House

One of the topics of the meeting was the F-35 for Turkey.

US President Donald Trump has announced a meeting with his Turkish vis-a-vis Recep Tayyip Erdogan on September 25 at the White House.

According to European Truth, Trump wrote about it on Truth Social.

The US president said he will receive Erdogan in Washington on September 25.

- We are working on many trade and military agreements with the president, particularly the large-scale purchase of Boeing aircraft, a major agreement on the F-16, and continued negotiations on the F-35, which we hope will conclude positively," he added.

On July 5, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed confidence that his country would gain access to the US F-35 program as agreed with Donald Trump.

The reason for Ankara's exclusion from the program was its decision to purchase Russian S-400 air defense systems. So far, there have been no public signals that Turkey plans to abandon them.

The US ambassador to Turkey, Tom Barrack, said a resolution of the long-running dispute over the F-35 aircraft is possible by the end of 2025.
