Trump emphasized that the United States is increasing oil production and doing everything possible to lower its cost. He said this is creating economic pressure that could hasten the end of fighting in Ukraine.
The U.S. leader asked other countries to also lower oil prices.
"This will automatically stop Russia's war against Ukraine. Lower the prices some more and that will stop the war. I am disappointed with Putin, but they are losing, 5,000 people are dying weekly. 5,000 to 7,000 people are dying every week for no reason," Trump said.
