Moscow And The Region Are Under Attack By Drones

The skies above the Russian capital were closed.

Residents of Moscow and the region have reported the sounds of explosions. Residents of Odintsovsky district of the Moscow region, as well as the capital's districts of Konkovo, Kuzminki, Chertanovo and the center say they heard at least 10 sounds similar to explosions.

The air defense system is working in the region, which shoots down drones. The skies over Moscow are completely closed and a Cover plan has been introduced at Moscow airports, Baza notes. Nine flights have been delayed at Sheremetyevo, six at Vnukovo and three at Domodedovo.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin says seven UAVs have been destroyed. He says that, tentatively, there is no destruction or casualties. According to Flightradar, some flights to Moscow are being turned around.
