Lithuanian Seimas Approves The Program Of The New Government

"Two-thirds of lawmakers voted in favor.

On Thursday, September 25, the Lithuanian Seimas approved the government program presented on September 10 by Prime Minister-designate Inga Ruginenė.

The LRT writes.

The government will be empowered to act only after the Seimas approves the program and the prime minister and ministers take the oath of office by placing their hand on the constitution.

So, on September 25, 80 members of the Seimas approved the program of the new government, another 40 MPs voted against it, and two representatives abstained.
