Belarusian hockey defenseman Denis Cherevach is considering changing his sporting citizenship.

According to the Hockey Exotica Telegram channel, the 31-year-old hockey player plans to move to Kuwait to obtain a Kuwaiti passport. This will give him the right to play for the national team of Kuwait.

According to preliminary data, Cherevach's debut may take place at the 2028 World Championship.

The defenseman has extensive playing experience both in Belarus and abroad. He played for the clubs Neman (Grodno), Lida, Metallurg (Zhlobin) and Lokomotiv (Orsha).

Cherevach spent the last two seasons abroad - in Kazakhstan's Kulager and Turkey's Istanbul.
