The ruler once again repeated that "whoever wants to earn money in Belarus today can earn it. He complained that his generation grew up in grief after the war and then quoted the request of young people to give support for the second child born.
- I say: God be with you, it can be done, but where to get the money for it? Should we take money away from pensioners? So they are not rich. Should we pay for the second child? - Lukashenko was indignant. - Who paid for the sixth in those times? This is the kind of consciousness people have.
And here I ask a question in the old-fashioned way: does our generation really need these difficulties? God forbid, a war. So that after that we would learn to appreciate life.
When the birth rate in the country has broken an anti-record, Lukashenko makes it clear that families with children should not count on the expansion of social benefits. It seems that Belarusians should be ready for further cuts in social support.
Lukashenko has promised to support families with children for many years. The phrase of the ruler in his message to the people and the Parliament in 2011 became a meme: "One child is your child. Two - let's look at the family, maybe someone should be supported, but they are also your children. The third is my child. <�...> The third child is mine and a little bit yours. The fourth one is one hundred percent, and the fifth and the following ones are mine".
