The Russian Defense Ministry said that overnight Russian air defense forces shot down 230 aircraft-type drones and six guided bombs. In addition, according to the ministry, six rockets fired from American HIMARS systems and Czech Vampire units were destroyed.

The Defense Ministry said that on the night of September 28 alone, 41 drones were destroyed over Russian territory in eight regions. The largest number - 12 devices - were shot down in the Kursk region, ten more drones were destroyed over the Bryansk region. Eight drones were intercepted in the Belgorod region, four in the Tula region, three in the Yaroslavl region and two in the Rostov region. Another drone was shot down over the Novgorod and Samara regions. The Defense Ministry did not give any other details.
