Sweden Announces 'winter' Support Package For Ukraine Worth Almost 100 Million Euros

Sweden has announced an additional nearly 100 million euros for humanitarian support to Ukraine.
According to "European Pravda", this was announced by the press service of the Swedish Foreign Ministry.
The new "winter" support package from Sweden for 1.1 billion kronor (99.7 million euros) is envisaged for urgent reconstruction and development needs and humanitarian needs as winter approaches.
It will cover such areas as energy and housing, health care, demining, IDP support, and media support.
450 million kronor is envisaged for Ukraine's energy needs - generation and repair of damaged infrastructure. The funds are contributed to the Special Fund for Energy Support of Ukraine.
385 million crowns are provided for repair of energy and housing infrastructure, as well as support for the functioning of public services through the World Bank's Ukraine Reconstruction Trust Fund (URTF) program.
100 million crowns are provided for demining, which will be equally divided between projects from the UN Development Program and Sida.
30 million is earmarked to support independent media (15 million each through Prague Center and Sida), 25 million to strengthen the legal sector, and 10 million for qualification and retraining programs in transport and logistics.
50 million SEK will be allocated through the UN World Programme for humanitarian aid to frontline communities.
30 million is provided to support IDPs through the UN Refugee Agency, 25 million through UNICEF and 20 million through Save the Children for child support programs, 20 million for maternal and women's health support programs in general.
