Where Were The Russian Federation Fighter Jets In Estonia Headed?

The media revealed the itinerary.

The three Russian MiG-31 fighter jets that invaded Estonian airspace on September 19 were presumably heading toward its capital, RBC-Ukraine reported, citing The Times.

The aggressor country's jets flew no more than six miles inside Estonian territory, circling the border at a distance of about 60 miles (more than 96 kilometers). Twelve minutes after the airspace violation, they were chased away by Italian F-35 fighter jets based in the region.

But Lt. Col. Gaetano Farina, the commander of NATO's air force, said the MiG-31 planes were intercepted over land and appeared to be heading toward the capital, Tallinn.

An unnamed European diplomat also gave The Times similar information about the incursion.
