Large-scale development has begun.
Ukrainian training centers continue large-scale arrangement of underground shelters and strengthening of security measures for cadets. Special attention is paid to protection from drone and missile attacks.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky.
Syrsky held a regular meeting on training in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, in conditions when the enemy presses the Ukrainians in numbers, the quality of training of servicemen is one of the decisive factors.
"Better training, without exaggeration, saves lives and strengthens the defense of the entire country," he noted.
At present, according to Syrsky, the course of basic general military training lasts at least 51 days and is conducted according to the sixth edition of the BOVP program, taking into account the tactical and technological challenges of modern warfare. At the same time, military authorities have been given the opportunity to adjust this period upwards.
"The main topic of the meeting was security measures in training centers in the conditions of constant drone and missile attacks by the enemy. There were reports on the erection of protective structures, as well as the state of provision of training centers with air defense, surveillance and air cover equipment," the commander-in-chief explained.
He said that during the summer period a significant amount of work was done in this area:
underground structures are being built to house servicemen who are studying;
closed communication routes are being arranged at firing ranges;
in some centers 100% of personnel already live permanently in underground shelters.
"I am grateful to servicemen and units for their fruitful work in this area. At the same time, there is still a lot of work to be done. At the end of the meeting I set tasks for solving problematic issues. I emphasized the need to concentrate efforts to complete the arrangement of underground shelters in training centers as soon as possible," he stressed.
