The US president said this at a meeting with his Polish counterpart.
US President Donald Trump has said that Washington has no plans to withdraw the US military from Poland. He added that the Polish government, on the contrary, wants more US troops on the country's territory.
"They (the US military - note) will remain in Poland. We have a complete understanding with Poland," Trump said at a meeting with the country's president Karol Nawrocki. The American president also noted that relations between Washington and Warsaw are based on "a great deal of trust - more trust than with most countries."
Trump noted that the U.S. plans to withdraw troops from other countries, but no such option is being considered with respect to Poland. "We are completely on her side and we will always help her defend herself," Trump noted.
