Ukraine's tactics have brought results.

Russia risks a deep economic crisis due to Ukraine's systemic strikes on oil refineries, writes Daily Express (translated by Charter97.org).

Russian propagandist Maksim Kalashnikov admitted in the published video that Ukraine's attacks are no longer isolated, but have turned into a targeted campaign against critical infrastructure - facilities such as the Druzhba oil pipeline and Blue Stream. Some 17% of oil refining capacity has already been put out of action, he said. "The situation is worsening," he said, stressing the threat of a fuel crisis.

In Moscow-controlled Crimea, the head of the occupation administration, Sergei Aksyonov, announced the introduction of restrictions: fuel sales of no more than 30 liters per person. He urged residents "not to panic", effectively confirming the shortage.

Ukraine is actively using drones and ATACMS missiles to hit key targets. The Kirishi refinery in the Leningrad region (18 million tons of oil a year), Krasnodar and Syzran refineries have come under attack. Explosions and fires caused serious disruptions in the enterprises' operations.

According to Rosstat, in 2024 Russia will refine about 5.5 million barrels of oil per day. By the fall of 2025, strikes had disrupted about 17% of that capacity. In the European part of the country, gasoline prices have risen by 15%, and consumption rationing is being discussed.

Oil exports, the main source of budget revenues, have fallen by nearly a million barrels a day, hitting not only the domestic economy but also global markets.

Kiev's strategy is turning Russia's energy industry into its weak point, dealing a blow to the Kremlin's ability to continue the war.
