Zelensky And His Office Voiced Possible Scenarios For Ending The War In Ukraine
Vladimir Zelensky

After the SCO summit in Beijing, Washington will be more realistic in its assessment of the global situation.

The freezing of hostilities along the front line is seen as one of the scenarios for ending the war, this opinion was expressed by the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak in an interview with Novini.LIVE. Vladimir Zelensky himself in an interview with Le Point allowed the country to be divided according to the Korean scenario.

Mikhail Podolyak called the option of freezing hostilities along the current front line realistic.

- One of the possible scenarios is a freeze along the front line," he said, adding that Volodymyr Zelensky is also talking about it.

- I think the decision on the final scenario will be made by the president," Podolyak emphasized.

He added that consultations at the level of the leaders of Ukraine and EU European countries are underway, as well as "a good negotiation process" with the United States. In his opinion, after the SCO summit in Beijing, Washington will be more realistic in its assessment of the global situation.

In the meantime, Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the French publication Le Point allowed the division of Ukraine according to the Korean scenario after the end of the war with Russia. However, he believes that for his country an exact copy of the South Korean model would hardly be suitable from a security point of view.

- South Korea has a powerful ally - the United States, which will not allow North Korea to take over the country. Their economy is thriving and they are protected by the alliance, but as long as North Korea remains as it is, South Korea is not completely safe," the Ukrainian president explained, stressing that Seoul has an advanced air defense system.

What concerns Ukraine, according to Zelensky, it seeks to obtain reliable security guarantees, such as Patriot systems similar to those that South Korea has.

But comparing Ukraine with the Korean Peninsula is "not quite accurate," the politician said:

- The population of North Korea is just over 20 million people, while Russia has more than 140 million. The scale of threats is quite different: threats from Russia can be five, six, or even ten times more serious. Therefore, an exact copy of the South Korean security model is unlikely to be suitable for Ukraine. But South Korea's economic model is a good example," he concludes.
