Boris Johnson has named a condition under which the war in Ukraine could end by the end of the year.

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson believes that putting an end to the war launched by Russia against Ukraine is realistic by the end of this year.

This is the opinion Johnson expressed in an interview with GB News.

According to the former British prime minister, U.S. President Donald Trump needs to listen to his intuition and tighten anti-Russian sanctions.

"I think if Donald Trump applies the necessary pressure and then he has the support of Britain and Europe, I think there could be real change here and this war could be over by the end of the year," he said.

Boris Johnson also expressed his belief that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin "is in a much weaker position than people say." Johnson, in particular, pointed to "very serious problems" at Russian oil refineries as a result of the Ukrainian attacks.

"We are seeing a 10% reduction in gasoline production in Russia, fuel shortages, inflation is rising," the politician stressed.

In addition, Johnson pointed out, Russian troops are failing on the battlefield.

"Putin's position is much, much weaker than people think," the former British prime minister is convinced.
