On the night of September 5, drones again attacked the Energia plant in the city of Elets in Russia's Lipetsk region, which manufactures components for missiles. This was reported by Russian Telegram channels, writes Dialog.UA.
According to Telegram channels, residents of the city of Elets heard several explosions at night, after which they recorded a fire in the area of the Energia plant. The video is published by Telegram-channel Exilenova+.
The governor of the Lipetsk region Igor Artamonov confirmed in his Telegram-channel that there was an air attack on the night of September 5, 2025. At 00:27, he wrote that an air danger regime was being introduced across the entire Lipetsk region. The air alert in this Russian region was canceled only at 6:18 a.m.
It should be noted that this is not the first attack of the AFU on the Energia plant in the city of Elets, Lipetsk region of Russia. The fact is that this enterprise plays a very important role for the Russian army.
They make components for cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as for drones. For example, for Iskander ballistic missiles and Kinzhal cruise missiles.
In addition, this plant produces batteries for planning and correction modules mounted on aerial bombs. UAVs attacked the Energia plant in May and July of this year. Both times fires broke out on the plant's territory. The plant suspended operations several times after the air attacks.
