Former US President Joe Biden underwent a Mohs procedure to remove a cancerous tumor on the skin of his forehead.

It was reported by The Hill.

A spokesman for Biden said the surgery was performed using the Mohs method, a specialized surgical approach during which tissue is removed layer by layer and each layer is examined for cancer cells until complete removal of the tumor is achieved.

Today, this technique is considered one of the most effective in treating non-melanoma skin cancer, allowing for maximum preservation of healthy tissue.

Recently, a video of Biden walking out of a church in Delaware with a visible scar on his forehead circulated on social media, prompting a wave of questions about his health.

This is not the first time Biden has battled skin oncology. He has already had non-melanoma growths removed from his skin while in the White House, and in 2023, doctors removed a cancerous lesion from his chest.

In addition, in May 2025, Biden announced his diagnosis of an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had spread to his bones, but he continued to appear in public afterward.
