Defeat Of Russian Troops: Putin's Plans Thwarted On Two Fronts

ISW analysts revealed the details.

Russian troops continue to attack in the Kharkiv and Seversk directions, as well as in the areas of Konstantinovka-Druzhkovka and Dobropillya, but their attempts remain fruitless. According to a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian units carried out offensive actions in the north of Kharkivshchyna on September 5, but made no advance. A similar situation is observed in the Kupyansk area.

September 4-5, the enemy tried to storm positions near Kupyansk - in the west near Sobolevka, in the north near Radkovka, in the northeast near Kamenka and Krasnoye Pervoye, in the east near Petropavlovka, and in the southeast near Stepnaya Novoselovka and Peschanoye.

According to the deputy commander of one of the Ukrainian drone battalions operating in the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops are trying to use natural hiding places, advancing in small groups - one or two at a time, sometimes even with flags. However, this does not indicate control of the territory by the Russian Federation.

In the Limansk direction, a partial advance of the occupants to the northwest of Stavok was recorded. A representative of the Ukrainian brigade reported that the enemy is actively using infiltration tactics, avoiding direct fighting. At the same time, the Russian command ignores the requests of its forward units to provide logistics.

Attempts of assaults continue in the Seversk direction, as well as in the areas of Konstantinovka-Druzhkovka and Dobropillya, but without confirmed results.

In the Pokrovsk direction on September 5, the Ukrainian side confirmed a certain advance of Russian troops. The chief of staff of one of the Ukrainian battalions reported that the enemy is increasingly relying on unmanned ground vehicles, as traditional supply routes are under fire control of the AFU. At the same time, enemy vehicles have considerable difficulty in moving due to the difficult terrain.

In addition, in the Zaporizhzhya region, Russian troops have recently advanced in the southern part of Primorskoye.
