September 6, Belarus completed the active phase of exercises within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. This was reported by the head of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus Viktor Khrenin.

The speaker recalled that within the framework of maneuvers, the troops "performed tasks to search and destroy sabotage and reconnaissance groups, illegal armed groups," provided the transfer of the regional grouping of troops to our country, as well as "participated in a joint operation to stabilize the situation."

"We based our plan on one of the possible variants of the development of the situation in the East European zone of responsibility of the CSTO - when the likely enemy failed to achieve the goals of changing the constitutional order and the change of power by provoking an armed conflict, moved to the active phase of the special operation and at the same time is completing the preparation of military force to be deployed in this region," said Viktor Khrenin.

The head of the Defense Ministry stressed that "it is too early to sum up the results" and the countries participating in the maneuvers still "have to analyze in depth what we have achieved."

- But globally I can say that the goal of the exercises has been achieved," assured the head of the defense ministry, stressing that "the management bodies received practice in training and management of troops, and the CSTO contingent, which is more than 2,000 people, carried out tasks against this operational background.
