Budanov: Russia Can Mobilize

It's a serious threat.

The head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's GUR, Kirill Budanov, said in an interview with Apostrof that the Russian Federation may mobilize again and this is a serious threat.

In particular, during the conversation, Budanov recalled that Russia conducted a partial mobilization in 2022. After that, it did everything possible and no matter how much it cost to not carry out mobilization again.

But this does not cancel the fact that Moscow can mobilize people again.

"Can the Russian Federation carry out mobilization? It can. It can, unfortunately it is a serious threat. It will be painful for the Russian Federation, but it is realistic. And such a threat, unfortunately, exists," Budanov said.

When asked whether the Russians could send in large volumes of conscripts, the head of the GUR said there was no point. At the same time, the Russian Federation will be able to increase the number of Russian troops it will throw at meat if conscripts go through mobilization.

As for possible anti-war actions, Budanov said, it is ridiculous. According to him, there will be negativity in society, but it will not stop Russia.

"Look, if you start mobilization, the mood in society will be negative. They will. And that's what they saw when they did in 2022 and immediately tried to stop it as quickly as possible. But, will it stop, let's say, the Russian machine? No, it will not," summarized the head of the Defense Ministry's GSD.
