The U.S. Threatened Russia With "total Collapse"

The Finance Minister outlined the next steps.

The US is ready to increase economic pressure on Russia. However, this requires the support of European allies.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to a statement by economic policy reporter at The New York Tisme Alan Rapoport.

According to the reporter, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in an interview that the United States is ready to increase pressure on Russia, but there is a condition.

- We are ready to increase pressure on Russia, but we need our European partners to follow us," the US Treasury chief said.

He added that imposing additional secondary sanctions and duties on countries that buy Russian oil could bring Russia's economy to a "complete collapse" and force Russian dictator Putin to the negotiating table.
