Ukraine's Largest Drone Manufacturer To Build Factory In Britain

The plant will appear in Mildenhall.

Ukrspecsystems, Ukraine's largest drone manufacturer, has announced a large-scale investment program in the UK.

According to the UK Defence Journal, a £200 million drone manufacturing plant will be built in East Anglia.

The new complex in Mildenhall will have an area of 11 thousand m² and will also get its own testing and training ground in Elmsett. The project will open up to 500 new jobs and provide apprenticeship programs for local professionals. Recruitment will start at the end of 2025, and serial production is scheduled for early 2026.

The Minister of Defense Procurement of Great Britain Maria Eagle stressed that cooperation with Ukrainian drone manufacturers will strengthen the capabilities of the British Army and its allies:

"London recognizes the advanced technology of Ukrainian drones. This partnership will strengthen our defense capabilities and provide new tools for modern warfare."

Ukrspecsystems was founded in 2014 and specializes in the development of unmanned aerial systems. The company produces in particular PD-2 and Shark drones, which are actively used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and also provides training and support for operators.
