Moscow Was Attacked By Unknown Drones On New Year's Eve

Domodedovo airport is closed.

On the night from December 31 to January 1, unknown drones flew on Moscow. For this reason, one of the capital's airports was closed.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Russian Telegram channels.

In particular, at 22:55 Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported at 22:55 that air defense forces allegedly shot down one drone flying toward Moscow.

"Emergency services specialists are working at the site of the falling debris," he added.

A number of publicks wrote that "there is a drone raid on Moscow," causing the Domodedovo airport to be closed.

According to the timing of the postings, the attack took place right as Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin was delivering his New Year's address to Russians.

A little later, at 00:27 Moscow time, Sobyanin reported that another drone had allegedly been shot down.
