An oil depot is on fire, residents are being prepared for evacuation.
In the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation complained about a drone attack on an oil depot. The ubiquitous "debris" provoked a fire at the facility, writes OBOZ.UA.
The possibility of evacuating "residents of nearby houses" is being considered. The consequences of the attack were confirmed by the governor of Volgograd region Andrey Bocharov.
What is known
The local governor reported about 5 a.m. Kiev time that a fire broke out at an oil depot in the Oktyabrsky district of Volgograd region after a night attack. It's all about "debris," of course, as the attack was "repelled" by Russian air defense forces, as usual.
"Tonight, air defense units of the Russian Defense Ministry repel a terrorist attack by unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of the Volgograd region. In the Oktyabrsky district, as a result of falling UAV debris, a hotbed of fire was recorded at an oil depot. Firefighters and operational services, as well as municipal staff are working at the scene of the incident.... According to preliminary data, there are no casualties," Bocharov said.

It is noteworthy that, unlike many other attacks, no footage from the scene could be found in the network at the time of publication of the news. However, the very fact that local authorities have recognized the "fire" may indicate that the consequences are quite serious.
The governor did not specify which oil depot was in question. However, his remark that "in case of evacuation of residents of nearby houses, a TAC in Oktyabrsky school N2" and the involvement of "municipal employees" in the liquidation of the consequences of the attack suggests that the attacked oil depot is located in the village of Oktyabrsky. The oil depot located there has already become the object of close attention of the Defense Forces, in particular on July 27 last year.

In addition to the lack of video and photos from the scene of the fire, there is another oddity in this attack. While the governor was praising Russian air defense "repelling a terrorist attack" by the Defense Forces on a legitimate military target, the Russian Defense Ministry, in its traditional "summary" of "intercepted and destroyed" UAVs, claimed to have allegedly shot down 59 drones. But Volgograd Oblast was not listed in this "summary" as one of the regions where the air defense forces were operating.

Nevertheless, after 4 a.m., the Volgograd Oblast was once again declared a "drone threat" and the Volgograd airport stopped operations.
