A series of powerful explosions took place in the Russian city of Voronezh on January 10. According to preliminary reports, Russian air defense systems are repelling an attack by Ukrainian drones, writes "Focus".
Russian sources report prolonged air defense operations, flashes in the sky and a column of smoke in one of the districts. According to some reports, at least 30 explosions were heard over the city in the evening.
Witnesses say the cannonade in the sky has not subsided for more than two hours. Citizens can hear the characteristic hum of UAV engines, followed by the sounds of air defense equipment and distant explosions in the city limits.

"The attack on Voronezh was also carried out by drones of the Chaklun-V type with a 20 kg warhead and 6 mm balloons," the SHOT channel writes.
The footage of an airplane-type drone crashing at high speed into a residential high-rise building is circulating on social media. Ukrainian sources claim that the device may have been hit by Russian electronic warfare equipment, after which it lost control.
The governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, has confirmed that air defense forces on duty in Voronezh and a number of districts of the region have detected and destroyed several drones. According to preliminary information, two people were injured as a result of falling debris.
It is also reported about damage to glazing and facades in three residential apartment buildings and one building under construction. A fire broke out in one of the apartments.
Russian military correspondent Yuri Kotenok said Voronezh had been subjected to a massive drone attack, calling the incident one of the most powerful raids since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. According to him, even helicopters could have been used to repel the attack.
It should be noted that at the time of publication, the drone attack danger regime is still in effect throughout the Voronezh Region.
We shall remind you that earlier the Russian side accused Ukraine of using Chaklun-V attack drones allegedly during the attack on Vladimir Putin's residence in Valdai.
