"For A Strike On Ukraine, Russian Federation Assembled A 'Nutshell' Out Of Old Soviet Missiles"

Apart from the nuclear warhead, this missile can only carry a concrete block.

The Russian missile "Oreshnik" was most likely assembled from old Soviet missiles. This was told by the development director of the defense enterprise, an Air Force officer in reserve Anatoliy Hrapchynsky on air "Kyiv24".

He said Russia could have modernized some types of intercontinental ballistic missiles.

"Because if Russia used a conventional ballistic missile even of medium range, it would not have informed the United States that it was going to do so. The day before, the Russian Federation informed the United States, after which the country notified its citizens on the website of the Ukrainian embassy that there was a threat to the residents of our state," Hrapczynski emphasized.

The expert added that Putin's attempt to scare Europe was that he could launch such a missile and could later equip it with a nuclear warhead.

"Because, apart from a nuclear warhead, this missile can only carry a concrete block, which we saw in Lviv or Dnipro," he said.

Khrapchinsky also commented on the information that the Oreshnik flew at a speed of 13,000 kilometers per hour.

"We need to understand that we are talking about the speed of a missile that follows a ballistic trajectory, that is, not in a straight line from point A to point B. We were very quickly perceived information about 13 thousand kilometers, but it is worth understanding that only due to the flight trajectory it went at such a speed at the last stage," the expert concluded.
