Anzhela Sandalyuk, wife of Sergei Sandalyuk, ex-deputy head of the Department of Corrections, was sentenced to two years in a penal colony for gross disorderly conduct (Article 342 of the Criminal Code), "Nasha Niva" has noted. Her trial took place back in 2024, but the verdict was not known.
Serhiy Sandalyuk was also convicted for participating in protests, but his exact sentence is unknown.
Sandalyuk served as deputy head of the DIN from 2013-2018. After that, he resigned and registered as a sole proprietor. In November 2024, Lukashenko deprived him of his rank by his decree.
