A crewman was wounded.
On January 12, foreign-flagged merchant vessels operating within the maritime corridor came under drone strike of the aggressor country Russia in the waters of the Black Sea. This was reported in Telegram by the head of the Odessa regional military administration Oleh Kiper.
One of the drones hit the superstructure of a Panama-flagged vessel. It was in the waiting area at the time of the attack and was on its way to the port of Chernomorsk to load vegetable oil, the official explained.
He said that one crew member was injured and was evacuated by the Navy and taken to the port of Odessa. There the victim was given medical assistance.
The second blow came to a dry cargo ship flying the flag of San Marino. The vessel was leaving the port with a cargo of corn, specified the Deputy Prime Minister for the restoration of Ukraine, Minister of Community and Territory Development Alexei Kuleba. No one on board was injured and the vessel continued its movement.
"This is yet another proof that Russia is deliberately attacking civilian vessels, international trade and safety of navigation," Kuleba emphasized.
