A Challenger airplane has landed at Nuuk airport.
The Danish Defense Ministry has moved military equipment and an advance contingent of soldiers to Greenland, which is preparing for the possible deployment of larger forces of the army and other units.
It became known to the television and radio company DR.
According to DR, at the initial stage, a so-called advance group was sent to Greenland. Its key task is to prepare logistics and assess local conditions for the subsequent arrival of the main forces.
Particularly, it is a matter of ground troops, which should strengthen the military presence of the Danish Armed Forces on the island.
At the same time, a significant number of other Danish army units, including ground combat units, are currently engaged in commitments in the Baltic States.
It is also reported that a Challenger aircraft belonging to the Danish Air Force landed at Nuuk airport on the evening of January 13.
