Britain Withdraws Soldiers From Airbase In Qatar Along With U.S.

Is Washington preparing a strike on Iran?

Not only American but also British servicemen are leaving the Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar.

This is reported by The i Paper.

The publication notes that members of the British Air Force (RAF) have been stationed at the Al-Udeid base along with American forces.

The journalists clarify that the RAF refueling tanker flew from Akrotiri airbase in Cyprus towards Al-Udeid base, but flight data showed that it then turned back towards Europe.

Al-Udeid is the largest US base in the region, hosting around 10,000 US troops. It was hit by Iranian missiles in June 2025 after a U.S. strike on Iranian nuclear facilities.

Last year, some personnel and their families were withdrawn from U.S. bases in the Middle East a week before the U.S. launched airstrikes on Iran.
