Contrary to analysts' predictions.
Commercial oil reserves in the United States for the past week unexpectedly increased by 3.39 million barrels. This is reported by the Ministry of Energy of the country.
The growth occurred against the background of analysts' forecasts, who expected a decrease in stocks by 2.2 million barrels. At the same time, gasoline reserves increased by 8.98 million barrels, while distillate reserves fell slightly by 29,000 barrels.
On January 12, White House spokeswoman Carolyn Levitt said that 31 million barrels of oil are headed from Venezuela to the United States.
