A series of sabotage attempts have taken place in recent weeks.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is holding an emergency meeting Thursday to address cyberattacks on Poland's energy infrastructure.

Tusk announced the meeting on social media X.

A series of sabotage attempts have taken place in recent weeks, which government sources say were aimed at destabilizing the country's energy system.

A press conference on the outcome of the discussions is scheduled for 11:00 am. The government is expected to present planned preventive measures following the attacks.

Polish Energy Minister Milosz Motyka said there had been unsuccessful cyberattacks on a number of electricity generating facilities in the last days of 2025.

In November, he said Poland was subject to the most cyberattacks in the EU.

Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitalization Krzysztof Gawkowski reported that in December the country was "very close" to blackouts due to a Russian attack.

In particular, it was about failed cyberattacks on thermal power plants and numerous renewable energy sources.
