Deliveries of European new cars through parallel imports via Belarus to Russia decreased by 34% in 2025.
Till then Belarus entered the top 3 major suppliers to the Russian market, taking about 10% of the market, writes in his blog head of "Avtostat" Sergei Tselikov.
A total of 17.1 thousand new passenger cars were imported from Belarus to Russia for the year.
China is still the leader - 71.3 thousand cars (41.4% of the market). Deliveries from it grew by 22%.
Second place goes to Kyrgyzstan with 53.6 thousand new cars and market share of 31.1%. As in the Belarusian direction, there was a decrease here - by 24%.
A total of 172 thousand new passenger cars were imported into Russia in 2025 under alternative import schemes. This is 5% less than in 2024.
The most popular brand remains Toyota. Just over 30,000 units were imported over the year. This is 45% more than in 2024.
The second place is occupied by the premium German brand BMW - 18 thousand, which is 35% more than a year earlier.
Alternative imports of Geely significantly decreased (-29%), but the total volume is still large (17.6 thousand units). By the way, this is one of the reasons for Geely's high position in the sales ranking.
Alternative imports of Lixiang hybrids decreased even more (-57%). Let me remind you that at the end of last year a number of models of this brand received OTTS and the official importation began.
The top five most popular alternative brands are Mercedes-Benz. The volume of imports increased by almost a third (+32%) to 10.2 thousand units. And this is only passenger cars, without minibuses, which were also imported.
