Explosion In The Center Of The Ministry Of Internal Affairs In Syktyvkar: Russians Blew Themselves Up On Their Own Grenade

Details of the incident became known.

A grenade exploded at the Russian Interior Ministry's professional training center in Syktyvkar - up to ten people were injured, three in serious condition. The incident happened in the assembly hall during classes. According to various reports, suffered from seven to ten people. Local regional media suspect that after the explosion there could be dead, writes "Dialogue.UA".

Regional Health Ministry reported nine injured, eight of them hospitalized. According to sources close to law enforcers, three are in serious condition: they have burns, injuries and poisoning from combustion products. Eyewitnesses are already posting the video on social networks.

Fire, smoke and evacuation

After the explosion, the building began to smoke heavily. A fire of about 340 square meters appeared. About 200 people were evacuated from the center. Eyewitnesses published videos showing the victim on scaffolding around the building: at the time of the accident there were repair works.

The Interior Ministry tried to soften the wording, saying that during the classes "there was a roof fire". Official reports preferred not to talk about the grenade explosion.

Where it happened, and who is trained there

The Professional Training Center is a training unit of the Interior Ministry, where ordinary officers are trained and the qualifications of current law enforcers are upgraded. It trains future traffic police officers, criminal investigation officers, PPS, convoys, investigators and district police officers. Previously, local media and universities openly said that students were shown weapons, a shooting range, and were even allowed to "shoot" at this center as part of excursions and training programs.
