Macron: Military Mission In Greenland To Be Reinforced By Air, Sea And Land
Emmanuel Macron

The French president revealed the details.

French President Emmanuel Macron said the European countries' military mission in Greenland will be "reinforced" with land, air and sea resources in the coming days.

This was reported by Le Monde, which quoted the French president as saying.

Macron said France had sent fifteen military personnel to Greenland for a joint European mission and promised "reinforcement".

"The Europeans have a special responsibility because this territory belongs to the European Union. A first group of soldiers is already on the ground and will be reinforced in the coming days with land, air and sea resources," Macron said.

On January 15, it was reported that the French military would join military exercises in Greenland at Denmark's request. Estonia also confirmed the further participation of its soldiers in the mission.

On Wednesday, it became known that Sweden and Norway sent their military to Greenland at the request of Denmark.
