Poland Announces Transfer Of MiG-29s To Ukraine

Kiev will receive up to nine fighter jets.

Poland plans to transfer up to nine of its MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, the decision has been made and details are being discussed with Kiev. This was stated by the country's Deputy Defense Minister Pawel Zalewski, whose words are quoted by TVP World.

"We are waiting for a response from the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. Negotiations are continuing. These are already purely technical discussions," Zalewski said.

According to him, Kiev supports the proposal to transfer the fighter jets, and now logistics and technical details are being finalized. The initial delivery will consist of "less than ten airplanes," the deputy minister said.
