Trump Announced The Creation Of The Peace Council

For the post-war management of the Gaza Strip.

US President Donald Trump has announced the creation of a so-called "Peace Council" that he says will oversee the post-war governance of the Gaza Strip.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing Trump's posting on the Truht Social network.

"As Steve Whitkoff announced, we have officially moved to the next phase of the 20-point peace plan for Gaza," he wrote.

The US president said the Peace Council will work closely with the newly appointed Palestinian technocratic government, the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza. It is to govern the Strip during the transition period.

Trump also said that since the ceasefire was imposed, his administration has provided the Gaza Strip with record amounts of humanitarian aid.

He said this has created the necessary conditions for the transition to the next phase of the peace settlement.

Separately, the US president noted the need for the complete demilitarization of Hamas. With the support of Egypt, Turkey and Qatar, he said, a comprehensive agreement is planned to be reached that includes surrendering all weapons and dismantling the group's tunnel infrastructure.

Trump called on Hamas to fulfill its commitments without delay, including the return of the last bodies of the dead to Israel.

"The people of Gaza have suffered long enough. The time has come," he concluded.

We will recall that on January 14, the United States announced the beginning of the second phase of President Donald Trump's 20-point plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip. It is about the transition to demilitarization, technocratic management and reconstruction. About this wrote in social network X special representative of the President of the United States Steve Whitkoff.
