Britain To Give Ukraine 20 Million Pounds For Energy Recovery

On the first anniversary of the landmark 100-year partnership between the two countries.

The UK has announced an additional £20 million to Ukraine to help rebuild and protect its energy infrastructure.

The British government's website reports.

"This comes as the UK and Ukraine mark the first anniversary of a landmark 100-year partnership between the two countries in Kiev today," the statement said.

The British government said it is now 300 more schools will join the initiative over the next three years, and in total about 54,000 pupils from both countries will be able to take part in the program.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that the 100-year partnership with Ukraine is a symbol of shared values and long-term support.

In London also stressed that bilateral cooperation goes far beyond war and covers security, education, innovation, trade and cultural exchanges aimed at the common future of the two states.
