The President of the United States took offense at not being given the Nobel Prize.

U.S. President Donald Trump has written a letter to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stjør saying he no longer feels an obligation to think about peace because he did not receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

The text of the letter was obtained by PBS News journalist Nick Schifrin from several unnamed officials.

"Dear Jonas! Given that your country has decided not to award me the Nobel Peace Prize for stopping eight wars PLUS I no longer feel an obligation to think exclusively about peace, although it will always prevail, but can now think about what is good and right for the United States of America," Trump wrote.

The letter says Denmark allegedly cannot protect Greenland from Russia or China.

"Why do they even have 'ownership'? There are no written documents, only that a boat docked there hundreds of years ago, but we've had boats docked there too," the US president noted.

Trump also added that he has done "more for NATO than anyone else since its founding" and now the Alliance supposedly "has to do something for the United States."
