European Parliament To Vote In Favor Of Fast-tracking 90 Billion Euros For Ukraine

European Parliament To Vote In Favor Of Fast-tracking 90 Billion Euros For Ukraine

It's tomorrow.

On Tuesday, January 20, the European Parliament at a plenary session in Strasbourg will vote on an accelerated procedure for granting Ukraine a 90 billion euro loan from the European Union in 2026-2027.

This was reported to the correspondent of "European Pravda" by the press service of the European Parliament.

Euro MPs on January 20 will decide on an urgent procedure for the adoption of bills that would allow Ukraine to receive a 90 billion euro loan from the EU over the next two years.

- On Tuesday, a vote will be held for an accelerated procedure to approve an enhanced cooperation of 24 member states on a €90 billion loan to Ukraine, the creation of a Credit Facility to support Ukraine for 2026 and 2027, and amendments to the Ukraine Facility Regulation," the European Parliament said.

The vote will take place on January 20 at 13:00 Kyiv time.

The votes of the largest factions are in favor of this decision, so we should expect it to be approved.

After that, an accelerated process of discussion and approval of the bills proposed by the European Commission will begin: the final texts should be approved by the EU Council and adopted in the European Parliament.

The journalists have learned that the nearest substantive discussion of the Ukrainian loan at the level of the Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper) in Brussels will take place on Wednesday, January 21.
