During the National Basketball Association (NBA) match between Memphis and Orlando, which took place in London, there was a rally against the policies of the United States and Donald Trump.

While the US national anthem was being played, one fan shouted "Leave Greenland alone", he was immediately supported by thousands of fans who attended the match. Nothing more followed: the anthem was played to the end and the teams played the match.

Trump announced his intention to annex Greenland, which belongs to Denmark, to the United States. He expressed similar ideas during his first presidential term (2017-2021). According to him, Washington needs the island for national security.
