CNN: Maduro's Whereabouts Tracked By CIA

The "green light" to launch the operation was given by Trump.

US President Donald Trump gave the green light a few days ago to capture dictator Nicolas Maduro, and the operation was carried out by the US Army's Delta Force, a person familiar with the situation told CNN.

His whereabouts was being tracked by the CIA, which Trump had authorized months earlier to conduct covert activities inside Venezuela.

Maduro was arrested to stand trial in the United States, the source said.
