How Gasoline And Diesel Will Become More Expensive In Belarus In 2025

The last increase in 2025 was recorded on May 3.

In 2025, retail fuel prices in Belarus rose methodically and without surprises - exactly as Belneftekhim likes it. For eight consecutive weeks, each type of fuel went up by 16 kopecks, writes "Belarusians and the market".

According to the concern, at the beginning of the year, the maximum retail prices at gas stations were as follows:

- AI-92-K5-Euro - Br2.34;

- AI-95-K5-Euro - Br2.44;

- AI-98-K5-Euro - Br2.66;

- diesel fuel - Br2.44.

The first increase occurred on March 15 - plus 2 kopecks. Then the prices rose weekly by the same step. Belneftekhim explained it by "a comprehensive assessment of the economic situation," the state of the oil market and prices in neighboring countries. The formula is familiar, almost ritualistic.

The last increase in 2025 was fixed on May 3. Now the maximum retail prices at gas stations are as follows:

- AI-92-K5-Euro - 2.50 rubles;

- AI-95-K5-Euro - 2.60 rubles;

- AI-98-K5-Euro - 2.82 rubles;

- DT-K5 - 2.60 rubles.

Belarus in 2025 on fuel prices looks like one of the countries with relatively affordable gasoline and diesel, noticeably below the world and European average. In places, only oil-exporting countries offer even cheaper fuel. But in affluent Europe and developed economies, drivers have to pay significantly more for each liter of gasoline and diesel.

In the global context, prices in Belarus remain below average:

- The average price of gasoline in the world is about 1.29 USD/liter.

- The average price of diesel in the world is about 1.15 USD/liter.
